No, I am not literally wearing hot pants, but the color is red hot! I love this pair of red jeans because they are a bit relaxed unlike many of the colored legging jeans available right now. I paired them with this neutral top and crochet vest (seen here) which gives an even more relaxed boho vibe to the look. Pairing the brightest of brights with neutrals is a fun alternative to black or white. ♥

Party Pics

I wanted to share some party pics from our engagement party this past weekend. It was a night we will never forget. The food was delish, the decor was adorable, and there was an endless flow of champagne. It was so special to celebrate with family and friends all in one place at the same time!

One of my favorite parts was ending the night with a dance party with my sisters:) Now, we just can’t wait to celebrate with Martin’s family as soon as we can get over to France! ♥

Neutrals and Killer Heels

Butt Seriously?

After perusing all the photos from the 2012 Met Gala, I cannot stop thinking of Beyonce. I know, she looks fantastic since she just had her baby. Butt seriously (pun intended)? This dress could have been lined in nude at least a bit longer. From the front (above the heinous purple feathers), the gown is gorgeous. I just can’t get past that rear shot! Too much bootay for me – what did you think? ♥

Peach and Denim

This peach skirt goes so well with a tucked-in shirt. I paired it with my ever-so-versatile denim shirt and love the bright contrast. I last wore this skirt on the blog here in a color blocking outfit. I love to pair it with other bright colors, but this chambray gives a bit of the same contrasting effect. I added in a pattern with snakeskin sandals for some spice and a Hermès scarf on my wrist instead of a bracelet. I resisted the temptation to throw on more accessories (a necklace, statement earrings) and let the few I wore stand out. ♥

What I Wore: Cinco de Mayo

I had my fiancé snap a few shots while I was getting ready for our Cinco de Mayo date. We went to Fridas in Beverly Hills and it was one of the best meals we have had recently. Give me chips, guacamole, and a margarita and I am a happy girl. I decided to wear this striped, high-waisted mini skirt and this burnt sienna tank (previously seen here). The outfit was spicy and just what I was in the mood for. I even got some help getting ready from Gaston! What did you do for Cinco de Mayo? ♥

Getting Tropical

I first saw this tropical skirt at Zara months ago. I left the store empty handed but literally did not stop thinking about it for weeks. The next time I ventured into the store, I went looking for this skirt and after a little searching, found just one left in my size. I knew it was meant to be! The tropical print is bright and puts me in an “I’m going on a tropical vacation” kind of mood. I previously paired this look for a casual weekend with a black tank and my nylites (seen here), but for work I paired it with a sheer olive green button up and black booties. I will be living in this come summer! ♥
