Dressing Down Basics

June 27th, 2011

sunnies: Dior, necklace: Anthropologie, shirt: Victorias Secret, skirt: Forever 21 (similar one here), belt: Urban Outfitters, sandals: Cathy Jean

This outfit is kind of a take on an outfit I wore earlier on the blog here. I wore basics with this belt and necklace in about the same color family. Here I switched in flat sandals for the heels and threw on a headband which takes this look from more fancy to casual (exactly what I was feeling). Sometimes I like changing an outfit just slightly in order to get a bit of variety with little effort. Just one more way to make the most of your wardrobe without being repetitive. ♥

This skirt is very cute and I love the wide belt – I’m using belts as well to dress things up and down right now…. I need to try headbands out -the NY humidity is killing my hair but also I think you always look so fabulous in them. Let’s bring some West Coast style to the East Coast, what do you think :-)

I love everything about this outfit. I love that you put the headband and the necklace together. I love it that you used really simple flats. It just all works really well.
