Bride and Groom

August 6th, 2013

Today is the last installment of our wedding photos! These are bride and groom photos of just the hubby and I that were taken before the reception began. The reception was at The Olympic Club Lakeside in San Francisco. The golf course and surrounding greenery made for an absolutely stunning backdrop for photos. I have really enjoyed recapping our wedding through photos on the blog and will cherish the memories forever.

The wedding photography was by Jeffrey Neal. Our Families

July 31st, 2013

Next in our wedding photo recap, I wanted to share photos of our families. The hubby’s parents, brother, and sister made it over from France for the wedding. It was so great that everyone in his immediate family, as well as many in his extended family could make the trip over for the wedding. Everyone in my immediate family was there to share the day with us as well. This includes my parents, my two sisters and their husbands, my older brother and his partner, and my littler brother. I love how these photos of everyone turned out! Up next in our photo recap is the reception – which has some really great action shots! ♥

Bridesmaids and Groomsmen

July 26th, 2013

Our wedding would not have been the same if our wonderful friends and family were not a part of it. My sisters and best girlfriends are part of what makes me who I am, and I know that the hubby feels the same way about his guys. My matron and maid of honor were my sisters, who are not just sisters but best friends as well. My bridesmaids were my very dear friends and of course my now sister-in-law. I really couldn’t have made it through the day without these ladies. My sisters even had to help me get in and out of my dress every time I had to pee since my dress was such a tight mermaid shape! It was a pain, but sacrificing the look of my dress for ease of peeing was not an option for me, and my amazing sisters never complained once.

The flower girls were the hubby’s cousins, both of whom are too stinkin’ cute for words. With those angelic tulle dresses and shy but flirty smiles, it goes without saying that everyone was enamored with them for the entire day!

The Frenchman’s best man was his only brother. His groomsmen were my two brothers, close friends from college, as well as many friends who flew in all the way from France to support him. The guys were a riot and kept the laughter and energy going throughout the day. For some of the other frenchies, it was their first time at an American wedding, which was fun. I hope you enjoy these photos of our wedding party.

Next up in our wedding photo recap is the family photos! ♥

The Ceremony

July 24th, 2013

The next installment of our wedding photos is the ceremony. We chose the beautiful Notre Dame des Victoires church in San Francisco because of its grandness as well as the fact that it is the French Catholic church in SF. The ceilings, marble, and stunning stained glass were features we fell in love with while looking for a ceremony location.

In my last post I mentioned that I am a sucker for tradition (why mess with hundreds of years of tradition?), and in the ceremony we stuck to that notion. The Frenchman was walked down the aisle by his mom, then waited at the altar with his best man and groomsmen. Next, my matron of honor, maid of honor, and bridesmaids walked down. The too-cute-for-words flower girls followed the beautiful ladies and then my dad walked me down the aisle (and high fived me at the end). We had a pipe organist play mostly the usual wedding music, with a random pop song thrown in there for fun. Since the songs were still being played on an organ, not many realized that they were hearing “One less lonely girl” instead of traditional Catholic music! We recited traditional vows, which I made it though without ugly crying, and sealed the deal with a kiss.

The next installment of our wedding photo recap is of the bridesmaids and the groomsmen – stay tuned! ♥
