Best Facial Ever

December 21st, 2012

skin body lounge

The other day, I was lucky enough to be treated to a custom facial at Skin Body Lounge. Putting it lightly, it was the best facial I ever got and the best hour+ I have had in weeks! I noticed the serenity and cleanliness as soon as I entered, both of which are very important characteristics in a spa. The facial started with cleansing, several masks and treatments, steam to open my pores and even included microcurrent. I left feeling like I had never looked better and am still feeling relaxed from it (even amidst all the stress of moving and the holidays). I highly recommend making a trip in if you are in the LA area (or make an appointment for next time you will be). ♥

We’re Moving!

December 19th, 2012

I can officially announce that we’re moving back up to the SF Bay Area! We don’t know exactly where yet, but the fiancé received an offer he couldn’t refuse. This means we get to be back closer to my family and friends up there, but we will definitely be leaving some dear friends in LA. We have absolutely adored living in la la land these last 2 and a half years, but we know there are fun adventures awaiting us up north. Another bright side – since our wedding is going to be in SF, we will have to do much less flying back and forth for the final planning stage. Stay tuned for more on our decided location and excuse the lack of posts during this crazy busy time! ♥

Christmas Mantel

December 18th, 2012

Decorating the mantel for Christmas is such a quick way to bring festivity to an entire room. Being that the mantel is usually the focal point in the room it is in, it is only fitting that it be totally decked out. This year I didn’t get ours nearly as decorated as I would have liked. So I have been searching for some envy-worthy mantels on pinterest to inspire me for future purposes. What did you use for Christmas mantel decorations? ♥

Rocking my Frida and Marilyn

December 14th, 2012

When I received this gorge necklace in the mail from Frida and Marilyn, I couldn’t wait one second to wear it. I wore it around the house with my sweats for awhile, until I decided to get dressed and work an outfit around it. I paired it with a v neck sweater to showcase it, along with black skinnies and leopard pointy toe pumps. I think this necklace will go with endless looks and I can’t wait to wear it again. ♥

graphic tee

amerique tee

A good graphic tee is hard to pass up. Especially when said graphic tee is so soft and feels like it has been broken in for years (without actually buying an old icky shirt). Even more so when the tee is slightly oversized and is tunic length. Needless to say, this is my new fave tee/tank. The versatility is what sold it for me. Oh, and the vintage looking American flag didn’t hurt either. ♥
