Fashionable Friday with Neris

October 28th, 2011

shorts: L.e.i., top: F21, jacket: Top Shop, wedges: Anne Christine, beanie and scarf: H&M, bag and belt: Guess

Hello lovelies, I’m Neris from Fashion Fractions! For those of you who don’t know me, I’m a fashion blogger from Croatia. I’m pretty new at the blogosphere and so far I love every minute of it! I decided to start my blog as a creative outlet and along the way I met some amazing and stylish ladies. Molliee and I hit it off from the very beginning so we decided to guest post on each others’ blogs and show you different ways to wear knits. Fall is all about layering and staying cozy and chic at the same time. Wearing colorful scarves and beanies is the perfect way to spice up the simple outfit and to stay warm and look stylish. For this post I decided to play with my clothes and wear my summer denim shorts with tights and leather jacket. I added my favorite scarf and a beanie and I was ready to go :)  If you are curious about how Molliee incorporated knits into her outfit, go over to my blog and check it out :)

I hope you enjoyed this post and feel free to visit me over at Fashion Fractions, tweet with me, be friends, or follow me on Bloglovin.

Thanks for having me Molliee!

Fall is in the Air

October 27th, 2011

Some of the greatest fashion trends hold true for both men and women. When my boyfriend and I both came out dressed in brown pants with ankle boots earlier this week, I was just glad we were dressed differently on the top half! There are times when our minds think too much alike and one of us ends up having to change in fear of looking matchy-matchy (since we work together, the change really is necessary). The ankle boot and scrunched pant look is a favorite and I am so thrilled my guy is adopting the trend. I immediately convinced him (again) to let me feature our “matching” trend here. He paired his boots with an American Apparel cardigan and a striped Gucci tee. I personally give him props for adding the scrunched sleeve look which compliments the scrunched pants. I paired my booties with the most fall-esque sweater I own and my new DIY plaid flower pin. Fall is definitely in the air. ♥

Pile Your Hair High

October 26th, 2011

Why pile your hair high? Because if you are like me, big hair = better hair. When I want my hair off my neck and out of my face (or if it is just a bad hair day) I like to do a voluminous updo. I play with different hairstyles all the time, like a top bun or this ponytail, but this is the latest creation. How To to come! ♥

Watercolor and Stripes

October 25th, 2011

blazer: Zara, dress: Forever 21, shoes and ring: Target, bracelets: gifted

These two pieces are some of my closet favorites. However, until recently I never thought of wearing this watercolor dress and this striped blazer together. I slipped on this dress last week because it was still scorching hot in LA and when running out the door, remembered to grab a jacket (since the office is always freakishly cold). I bounced between this striped one and a plain black blazer and glad I chose this one because the resulting outfit is much more interesting. The dress is great on its own (as seen here) but lends easily to mix with other prints since it has such a blurred pattern. Are some of your favorite outfits made from a quick, running-out-the-door decision? ♥
