Rose Garden Skirt

May 27th, 2011

tee: J. Crew, skirt and sunnies: Nordstrom, shoes: Tory Burch, bag: Kathy Van Zeeland, earrings: Jessica Simpson

As I was working on a few upcoming guest posts this week, one thing remained on my mind: color. I guess it is fitting, since it is Spring after all! This skirt is, as the title claims, what I call my rose garden skirt. It doesn’t take a genius to figure out why:) With gorgeous images of flowers encasing the entire skirt, it can be paired with subdued neutrals like black, white or this pale pink like I did here. If you want to get adventurous, try floral skirts with a print like a thin stripe. This also happens to be the first debut of my Tory Burch flats also seen here. I hope this inspires you to pick the prettiest bloom in your closet and wear it this long weekend. ♥

Flowery Ruffles

May 26th, 2011

tank and necklace: Urban Outfitters, sweater, shoes and belt: Target, leggings: Zara, sunnies: Nordstrom

bracelets on my right hand: various collections from France, on my left: top and middle - Marc Deloche, bottom - vintage, rings: Art Fair in Lake Tahoe

Just to add a bit more ruffles to my wardrobe this week, I slipped on this Urban Outfitters tank that I love to style in different ways. Here I paired it with a long sweater and belted it over brown leggings. I have also worn this with contrasting liquid leggings which made the girly nature of the shirt really shine. The shirt looks great on its own, however the top portion is a bit risqué for work purposes, which is where the sweater came in. I also love pairing the small floral print with brown accessories because it makes it feel even more earthy. ♥
